Cetan Luta Win (Red Hawk Woman) is deeply rooted in her Lakota culture, a connection that is reflected in both her name and her life's work. Residing in the Medicine Root District on the Pine Ridge reservation, she skillfully balances her artistic endeavors with her roles as a dedicated wife and nurturing Ina. Her family serves as both her inspiration and the core of her work, shaping her commitment to preserving and revitalizing Lakota traditions.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Institute of American Indian Arts, Cetan Luta Win is a dedicated member of the Lakota Women of the Plains Society. She actively contributes to organizing competitions and workshops aimed at preserving the art of the Lakota tipi knowledge. The society emphasizes practical skills and cultural significance, highlighting the importance of these traditions for future generations.

In addition to her work with the society, Cetan Luta Win is a passionate jingle dress dancer. She frequently participates in powwows, where she showcases her culture through dance, furthering awareness and appreciation for Indigenous traditions. Her efforts play a crucial role in preserving and promoting her Lakota Culture.
