Keith Ferguson serves as the Program Manager for Friends of the Children- He Sapa. Prior to joining Friends of the Children- He Sapa, Keith worked as a Family Engagement Learning Specialist for Black Hills Special Services Cooperative. Keith’s career has primarily been in Education ranging from time spent as an Athletic and Activities Director, Physical Education and Health Teacher in all grades from K-12 along with coaching numerous high school sports.
Additional experiences outside of the primary classroom while still working within education include positions with the University of South Dakota as a Talent Search Advisor serving schools on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, as a Regional Coordinator for GEAR UP with Black Hills State University and as a Student Success Coach for Western Dakota Technical College. Keith’s passion is in working with Families and Children from his home area on the Pine Ridge Reservation and as a result he is looking forward to joining the team as our new Program Manager!
Beyond his professional career Keith also serves area Boards serving as a Director for the Lakota Nation Invitational along with serving Rapid City Area Schools as the Vice Chair for the Title VI PAC Board.
In his free time, Keith loves spending time with his daughter Abbie. He resides in Rapid City where his daughter Abbie is at Senior at Stevens High School. Keith is a self-proclaimed sports nut who loves playing Fantasy Football.
